It is such an amazing story! Patrick, a young, former slave in Ireland, was called by God in the 400’s to go share the Gospel of Christ with those same Irish people who had enslaved him just a few years before! Yet, without fear, he boldly entered again into that realm and became the agent of liberty to those who had once been his agents of slavery.
He developed this boldness because Christ had revealed Himself to him in such a living way. Patrick’s faith in Jesus was no cold orthodoxy; his was a living relationship with the living, resurrected Son of God! In Patrick’s life, Jesus was Lord! We get a glimpse of the intimacy between him and his Lord when he writes of hearing His voice. With great humility he simply states that God said to him:

“And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the rulers over hundreds, with the captains and the guard…and took an oath of them in the house of the LORD, and showed them the king’s son…And he brought forth the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, ‘God save the king’…And Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD’S people; between the king also and the people.”
7 would have stopped Kentucky tax dollars from going to that dastardly organization which is misleadingly named “Planned Parenthood”. Planned Parenthood probably commits more abortions across this nation that any other single organization which does abortions. The bill to defund Kentucky’s Planned Parenthood was stuck in a House committee, so advocates presented what is called a procedural bill in order to bring SB 7 to the House floor for an “up or down” vote. The vote to bring out SB 7 so it could be voted on went like this:
