For several years now, there has been a massive move to bring to the forefront of our thinking a political theory known as CRT.  It stands for Critical Race Theory.  And those who believe it insist that all must be FORCED to embrace it.  I first began to encounter it, several years ago, among young Pastors who were graduates of seminaries where the concept of CRT was taught.  It manifested itself in an animosity that bordered on hatred for this nation.  They wanted nothing to do with the truth that America was birthed from Biblical principles; all they could see was the many faults which current America had picked up from the root of the very idea they were proclaiming:  Yes, what they didn’t know—because they’d not been taught our true history—they didn’t know that what they now believed about America was what those who wanted to overthrow the liberty of America had taught their teachers.  Yes, so-called Critical Race Theory was nothing more than the same old Communist garbage can, painted a different color.  The ultimate aim was the same:  Divide this nation along racial lines; let hatred produce civil upheaval; which would produce fear.  And when people are afraid, they will more readily change their form of government.

In reality, Critical Race Theory is simply the idea that:  If you are of European descent, you are the oppressor; if you are of darker skin, you are the oppressed.  Can we not please use our minds instead of acting like a flock of sheep?!  What does skin tone have to do with political oppression?!!

To “divide and conquer” has always been Continue reading

Why Flag Day 1

Recently one of the churches in our community held a special meeting on Flag Day, June 14th. They honored the United States Flag, “…the Republic for which it stands…”, and the soldiers who have defended that Republic. Our original Continental Congress approved the basic design of our Flag on June 14th, 1777, which is why the day has been set aside as a day to honor our Flag.

I remember being taught the importance of our Flag as a child by my Dad and Mom. Dad was a World War II veteran and had a great love for our country. The public school I attended likewise taught us respect for country and the Flag which represents it. We saluted the Flag and pledged allegiance to it every morning. This is rarely done now as the emphasis through the education system is on nations coming together in a one-world government. We were taught the Biblical understanding that:

“God hath made of one blood all nations of men…and appointed…the boundaries of their habitation.” (Acts17:26, emphasis added)

Now most children don’t even know the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Let’s carefully consider this pledge in an effort to Continue reading

Love Your Enemies- But STAND Against Them- 1On October 8th, 1918, an Army corporal from the mountains of Tennessee did an amazing thing while fighting in World War I.  Alvin York, a shy young man, who didn’t even want to go to war, performed so well in the line of duty he would later be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.  York, who had been converted to Christ after being known as a “hell-raiser”, struggled with going to war because Jesus had taught that we should be peacemakers.  However, he finally reasoned from the Bible that, as he would say,

“If a man can make peace by fighting, then he is a peacemaker.”

Once committed to his country’s cause, he distinguished himself as an amazing marksman.  That ability would serve him well this October day.

His patrol was moving behind German lines who were ‘dug in’ within deep trenches.  The Germans discovered York and his troop, and opened fire.  The American patrol was pinned down and York would later report that the bushes all around him were shot to pieces yet he was miraculously spared.  At great risk to his life he worked his way around the hillside where he could Continue reading

What difference do words make anyway?  So what if one says ‘isn’t’ and someone else says ‘ain’t’?  As one comedian said, “Saying ‘ain’t’ is sure better than saying ‘aresn’t’!”  While people’s expressions can be humorous, the reality is:  Words are important.  The Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” (Proverbs 18:21).

Words are important!  Words communicate ideas.  Ideas in our thoughts produce actions in our bodies.  Those actions will produce life or death for us and others, particularly the next generation.

The ‘watering down’ of our language is doing great harm to our American way of life.  Knowing fewer definitions to words keeps us from understanding the language of our Founding Fathers.  Their writings were powerful because they could communicate such profound truth with so few words.  Many of the words they used we now have no clue what they mean.  This means we likely will Continue reading

Often when I speak in churches I ask people to be involved in their government in order to protect the liberty of their children.  Many times they look at me with bewildered looks, as if to say, “How can I affect government?”  I’m sorry we’ve gotten to such a state.

When the Pilgrims came to America they had been through many years of government oppression.  And before them, many others had felt the restrictions of ungodly government and education.  Because of the hurt they had experienced through un-Biblical government, they knew they must establish education which was true and government which was just.  They knew the Bible taught that liberty could not be maintained in any nation apart from teaching the ways of God in their schools; neither could they expect liberty to continue if their government was not the form of government taught in the Bible.  Thus, they worked to create cultural institutions which God taught in the Bible:  Institutions which would teach and protect the moral foundation necessary for Republics to carry out their God-given purpose.

When people look at me with a questioning face that says, “How can I affect government?”,  I know they have Continue reading

Huge is the debate about how mankind came into being!

Right here in Kentucky a magnificent Creation Museum opened in 2007.  Ken Ham, a science teacher in Australia was greatly disturbed by the constant statements in classrooms that evolution was how we got on this earth.  His research had shown that there was no scientific evidence to support evolution and he was burdened that so few were speaking out against it.  So he began showing the scientific evidence, which supported the Biblical account of creation in the book of Genesis.  This would lead to a ministry called Answers in Genesis which has become a worldwide organization that tells the true story of man’s origins.  That ministry built the Creation Museum.  Not far away, they also built an exact replica of Noah’s Ark; with the aim of showing the scientific evidence that there was a worldwide flood, just like the Bible says.

Is there scientific evidence that the Biblical account of creation is more reliable than the theory of evolution?  Consider this:  Evolution says Continue reading

Each year on February 22nd, we celebrate the birthday of the Father of our country, George Washington. There are some things about George Washington that my schooling never taught me. Things like what Rev. Henry Muhlenberg, Pastor of the Valley Forge Lutheran Church in 1777, said of him when our Continental Army spent the winter there. I quote Rev. Muhlenberg:

“I heard a fine example today, namely, that His Excellency General Washington rode around among his army yesterday and admonished each and every one to fear God…[and] to practice the Christian virtues. From all appearances, this gentleman does not belong to the so-called world of society, for he respects God’s Word, believes in the atonement through Christ, and bears himself in humility and gentleness. Therefore, the Lord God has also…marvelously preserved him from harm in the midst of countless perils, [ambushes] fatigues, etc., and has hitherto graciously held him in his hand as a chosen vessel.”

Were you aware George Washington was Continue reading

Do you KNOW the Lord?  Do you REALLY KNOW the Lord Jesus?  Is every area of your life surrendered to Him; nothing held back from Him?  Is it all at His disposal to be used in any way He sees fit?  If this is true, then the Lord has a Word for you, right at this point in history.  In Zephaniah 2:3 the Lord says to you:

“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger.”

It would appear we’re going to need this Word in the days immediately in front of us.

So what can we expect this new national government to do?

In the education field we can expect more money to be appropriated to fund programs and curriculum that are very anti-Biblical, and anti-American; and which promotes a socialistic global government.  The message will be Continue reading

If you were satan, and you saw a large part of your kingdom coming down, wouldn’t you resolve to call out all your forces and concentrate them on that particular group which was working to advance God’s kingdom?  That’s what I believe he did about this time 400 years ago.  A little band of Englishmen had so discovered what it meant to know Jesus Christ, and to walk with Him in this present world, that they were satan’s “greatest nightmare”.  They weren’t wealthy or, for the most part, very well educated by the world’s standard.  But God had given them pure hearts; hearts in which, by the cleansing of the blood of Christ, He himself had come to dwell.  Christ had found a welcome will in those hearts; a will through which He could release His own will, and accomplish His purpose of getting out the message of what He’d done by His life, death, resurrection, ascension, and the outpouring of His Holy Spirit into men on this earth.  Christ could feel at home among them because their agreement (or covenant as the Bible calls it) with God had caused them to enter an agreement with each other to:

“…walk together in all His ways, made known, or to be made known, whatsoever it should cost them, the Lord assisting them.”

It was this covenant with God and one another that would Continue reading
