In the last few days we finally received a Senate investigation report on the Benghazi massacre and cover-up.  It stated: “The deaths were preventable.” (!!)  Ambassador Chris Stevens and other Americans were killed because of the negligent actions of Hillary Clinton and Mr. Obama.  And yet, it takes over 15 months for this to come out; when it could easily have been produced before the election of 2012.  It wasn’t.  If the report is true; Mr. Obama and Secretary Clinton, without doubt, knew what was about to happen.  So once the Americans had been killed, what did they do?  They blamed an unrelated video for causing these deaths!  They even took out a newspaper ad apologizing to the Arab world for the “video.”  But they didn’t take out an ad apologizing to the families of the victims and to the rest of America for their negligence.  Of course Mr. Obama had an election to win in 2012; and Mrs. Clinton has one to win in 2016.  Thus, we see yet another instance of the selfish nature of man hiding the truth in the cause of self-interest.

This is the danger of the dream endorsed by both Obama and Clinton.  This dream of global dictatorship is supposed to produce world peace through the will of one individualSocial justice, as this dream is called, is supposed to bring justice to the world.  You can only understand what this administration has been doing for five years if you understand this false belief that they work toward.

People like Obama and Clinton refuse to believe the Biblical truth that all men are selfish—because of the “sin-root” received in the Garden of Eden when we refused to allow the life of God to indwell and rule us.  The Bible plainly states:

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and…death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

(Romans 5:12)

It also says;

“Jesus did not trust himself unto them…for he…knew what was in man.”

(John 2:24-25)

To trust a man to rule over us, because we believe he is perfect and will rule us impartially, is to believe satan’s greatest deception concerning civil government!

Indeed the Bible warns us of just such a man who will arise near the end of the age.  It refers to him as the “Beast,” because of the terrible things he will do to people (Revelation 13:6-8).

This is why a republican form of government is the best form of government (and I’m not speaking of the so-called Republican Party here in America).  A true republican form of government takes into account, in making law, the “sin-root” in man.  It exalts law as the highest authority (all must bow to it); and a republic allows the people’s representatives to make the law, thus taking away much of the dangerous emotion displayed in a democracy.  And, true republican law insists the Bible be the standard for that law in structure and in spirit.  Thus, when God gave the Jews a republic as their original form of civil government (Deuteronomy 1:9-18), He gave to them the best possible government which could protect them from their own selfishness.

When we consider the acts of such government rulers as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, we ought also consider the sobering words of Thomas Jefferson.  He stated:

“…can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the Gift of God?  That they are not to be violated but with His wrath?  Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever;”

(Jefferson, Thomas. 1781, in his Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII, 1781, 1782, p. 237. Tim LaHaye, Faith of Our Founding Fathers (Brentwood, TN: Wolgemuth & Hyatt, Publishers, Inc., 1987), pp. 192)

Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you—
and for your children!  And you won’t like what that brings to you.  I’m Don Pinson, this has been Think About It.
