Polls the last few days reveal that seventy-eight percent of Americans are dissatisfied with this present national government.  The tremendous move toward socialism is now producing what it always produces:  A falling economy and dissatisfaction among the people.

Attempting Biblical Reformation 1What should we do?  Why not return to the roots of America?  Why not return to the Biblical thinking of our Founders concerning education, economy, and government?  Indeed, the way we educate is what produces the kind of government we have.  Abraham Lincoln said it plainly:

“The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.”

Beliles, America’s Providential History (Charlottesville, VA: Providence Press, 1988), p. 79; (4th printing, 1994), p. 95. | Karen Morgan, People of the Past (Historical Presentations, P.O. The emphasis on the Bible brought revival and some reformation to Scotland in the mid-1500s.  John Knox, the leader of the Reformation in Scotland, set the example by being a great man of prayer.  Iain Murray, who wrote his story, said of Knox that his prayer was Continue reading

The Immigration Fix, Part 4 1The Debate continues over illegal immigration.  The socialists in Congress, and their supporters, don’t want a wall.  The reasons they put out front is that it’s unfair to deny needy people entrance to our nation; and a wall won’t work anyway.  But are those the real reasons they want open borders?  Consider their arguments just mentioned:  If we’re going to admit people just because they are needy, then the whole world will be standing at our door.  Few nations on earth have anything like the lifestyle Americans enjoy.  Most of the world is needy compared to this nation!

Their talk that, “a Wall won’t work” is just that—TALK!  A recent example of how well a Wall does work to keep out illegals is the nation of Israel.  David Rubin, the former Mayor of the city of Shiloh in Israel, told Fox News that,

“…from 2010 to 2012, some 55,000 illegal immigrants came…through Egypt into Israel.  In a tiny nation like Israel, he said, ‘that’s a lot,’ [and] the result was that crime rocketed…where they settled…Israeli officials finally agreed to build [a] wall…and in 2016, there were only 11 illegal immigrants who entered Israel through that route…A year after…the Israeli government made security improvements to the wall and increased its height…and now, Rubin contends that the wall is virtually impenetrable by illegal immigrants…

When the Pilgrims came here in 1620, they had learned some things that recent generations have had stolen from them. For instance, they had come to understand that the basis of the government is covenant. No state can exist very long if its citizens are not in covenant with each other.

The word covenant is defined as “a meeting or agreement of minds”. The minds of a people living under a particular government must be in agreement on the basics of life if they are to be able to walk together throughout the generations.

They must agree about Who God is, and who He says they are, and what His plan for them is, both as individuals and a nation. Without this agreement, education, commerce, and government just become Continue reading
