March 17th is set aside each year to remember a man who lived in Ireland in the 400s. His life would not only lead thousands of the Irish out of satanism to Jesus Christ as their Lord; his Biblical teaching concerning government would literally lay the foundation for liberty in America.

Patrick of Ireland was actually born in England, but at sixteen years of age was captured and taken to Ireland to be a slave. While many in our day would blame God as being unfair if that happened to them, Patrick did just the opposite. He recognized that the heathen living of him and his neighbors had brought him this captivity. He described their state as being,

“…quite drawn away from God, we did not keep His precepts…”

In this recent election, huge changes occurred in the political scene, particularly in Washington.  What kind of leaders will these be?  Will they stand nearer to the Bible on issues that face us?  Time will reveal their true colors.  The only way to tell how a politician thinks is to look at his voting record.  His or her words can never be trusted!

On the other hand, when statesmen, not politicians, are in office, deeds consistent with the Word of God are the normal thing.  Now it’s true, we haven’t seen very many of those people in office for a very long time—nearly a hundred years now.  So where do we go for a comparison?  How can we know if someone is a statesman, instead of a politician?  Let me first describe the difference.

A politician is one who is skilled in how to get things done in government.  This oftentimes takes the shape of manipulation or bribery.  A statesman is one who stands in the gatherings of government and states the truth about issues.  He stands for the truth no matter what the cost to him or his position.  Because his great desire is to see the truth written into law, he goes Continue reading →

Each year on February 22nd, we celebrate the birthday of the Father of our country, George Washington. There are some things about George Washington that my schooling never taught me. Things like what Rev. Henry Muhlenberg, Pastor of the Valley Forge Lutheran Church in 1777, said of him when our Continental Army spent the winter there. I quote Rev. Muhlenberg:

“I heard a fine example today, namely, that His Excellency General Washington rode around among his army yesterday and admonished each and every one to fear God…[and] to practice the Christian virtues. From all appearances, this gentleman does not belong to the so-called world of society, for he respects God’s Word, believes in the atonement through Christ, and bears himself in humility and gentleness. Therefore, the Lord God has also…marvelously preserved him from harm in the midst of countless perils, [ambushes] fatigues, etc., and has hitherto graciously held him in his hand as a chosen vessel.”

Is the economy going to get better—or will it continue to slide?  Will I lose my job?  Will I be able to provide for my family?  Will the nation survive the current downhill slide or will we lose our liberty and live under a dictator?

These are very real fears that many feel today.  What can we do?

The pattern I’m about to give you, you will not hear on the nightly news.

Number one, we have to settle the issue of physical death.  That’s right, we have to come to peace with our individual moment of death.  You may be wondering how this relates to the crisis in Washington, but it has everything to do with it.  Until we come face to face with the fact that we’re not going to live forever on this earth, but that we are going to live forever somewhere, we cannot possibly move into the destiny God has for us.  We cannot protect national liberty until we have personal liberty!

We simply must come to a moment in our lives when we acknowledge that this life is not ours; that it belongs to our Creator who knit us together in our mother’s womb.  When we face that fact, and say Continue reading →

His Order-Our Help 1Except for one thing, the state of our land could be very discouraging. If we look only at the Moslem threat, the homosexual agenda, or the work of socialists inside our governments, we could well be in despair. However, if any person or people set their will to walk in the order of God, they have proven to be invincible under any circumstances. It is my hope, that if we can experience revival, we would need not fear any enemy, internal or external.

The Bible teaches that one with God is always a majority. Moses stood at the Red Sea without a single earthly hope of being delivered from Pharaoh’s fast approaching army. But because he was obeying God in bringing out His people from bondage, God said through Moses,

“Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD…” (Exodus 14:13)

Moses obeyed, and, to his amazement, he watched God’s people get delivered from the greatest army on earth. God still does this today.

Patrick Henry encouraged our Founding Fathers to not be afraid to stand in God’s order against the world’s greatest army of their day in his “Give me liberty or give me death!” speech. He finished it by saying Continue reading →

Do you KNOW the Lord?  Do you REALLY KNOW the Lord Jesus?  Is every area of your life surrendered to Him; nothing held back from Him?  Is it all at His disposal to be used in any way He sees fit?  If this is true, then the Lord has a Word for you, right at this point in history.  In Zephaniah 2:3 the Lord says to you:

“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger.”

It would appear we’re going to need this Word in the days immediately in front of us.

So what can we expect this new national government to do?

In the education field we can expect more money to be appropriated to fund programs and curriculum that are very anti-Biblical, and anti-American; and which promotes a socialistic global government.  The message will be Continue reading →

America is headed for difficult times.  Don’t let that depress you.  I want to encourage you in the next few minutes.  Not that there’s not plenty of negative stuff to speak about that’s just around the corner, if the Lord allows a Joe Biden administration to take over.  So I urge you to continue to pray for God to intervene in America’s present desperate situation.  In the meantime, let’s educate ourselves in a much greater way than we ever have concerning what the Bible says about the purpose of civil liberty, and the structure of government that it takes to preserve that liberty.  I would urge you to visit our website where you can get materials to help you learn; also, tie in with Wallbuilders ministry; it is the largest in the nation by which you can learn the Biblical perspective of America’s Founders.

Whatever the end result, I want to encourage you with some of the promises, which God has been having me note as I’ve read through the Bible each of the last few years.  These promises are made to a specific group of people which the Bible calls “The Remnant”.  While the phrase, “The Remnant”, has specific references to the Jews and God’s dealings with them, it also is a reference to a specific group of true believers in Christ.  This is how I’m referring to it today.  The “Remnant” is not made up of your average church-goer, and certainly does not include those of religions outside of Christianity.  Neither does it include those who nominally believe that Jesus is God’s Son.  It doesn’t even necessarily include those who attend church every Sunday morning!  The group the Bible refers to as “The Remnant”, are those who believe that the Bible is ‘truth without any mixture of error’; and that it can be lived out in this present world, right now!  They are those who look Continue reading →

Was the American Revolution a rebellion, as it’s often called nowadays? Were George Washington, Samuel Adams, and Thomas Jefferson just rebels wanting to overthrow the authority of the English Crown in the American colonies? Or were they re-establishing Godly authority by declaring “these colonies are, and of right, ought to be free and independent states?” Why is the Declaration of Independence almost never referred to in our courts today?

Actually the understanding of one simple principle, which our Founders understood, would answer all these questions. It is the principle of interposition. You may be asking, “What on earth does interposition mean?” I’m glad you asked. Noah Webster, in his first American Dictionary, defined interposition as being the act of “…placing or coming between; intervention.” Then he added this comment to illustrate what he meant: “The interposition of the moon between the earth and the sun occasions a solar eclipse.”

I remember reading an article many years ago which revealed the socialists’ plan to take over our nation by controlling the reporting of the votes.  Their plan was to get elected into office Secretaries of State that would report the votes in favor of socialist candidates.  I remember how my heart sunk as it dawned on me that, if they could work their plan, it wouldn’t matter how many of us voted for the candidates that would defend our Constitution, they would make it look like their candidate had won.  We are seeing this now played out in front of our very eyes.  The Secretaries of State in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Michigan have kept voting machines from being audited, which plainly says to me they are guilty of the conspiracy to overthrow our Republic with the vote count.  This is why I constantly urged us, before the election, to pray that:

  1. Good people would go to the poles and vote.
  2. The votes would be gathered honestly.
  3. The votes would be counted honestly.
  4. The votes would be reported honestly.
