We’re hearing a lot about what happened in our voting surrounding this past election.  That is, you’re hearing a lot about it if you’re listening to a true news source, like Newsmax.com!

Actually, this whole discussion centers in identifying and defining what kind of government America has.  The socialists want us to think we’re a democracy.  The media wants us to think we’re a democracy.  Almost every one of the universities teach that we are a democracy.  But the Founders who FIRST CREATED this government said something different; they called us a REPUBLIC.  James Madison, who wrote the Constitution, said in His first Inaugural address as President, that he would need:

“…the guardianship and guidance of that Almighty Being whose power regulates the destiny of nations, whose blessings have been so conspicuously dispensed to this rising Republic…”

I know several churches which start their Sunday meetings with Prayer, and then the Pledge of Allegiance to our flag, which starts out…

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC, for which it stands…”

Our nation is a REPUBLIC—not a democracy!  And the definition of these two types of government is what the argument in this election is all about.  This is true because in a democracy, the will of the people is the highest authority; but in a Republic, law made by the people’s representatives is the highest authority.  Since probably a majority of the people just want this election to be over and done, if we were a democracy, great injustice could be done, because determining by law if there was fraud in the election would not be important right now.  But because we are a Republic, we want the courts to determine if, indeed, the law was broken to gain the now apparent winners.  If this process seems to be slow it is because the court, by nature, is slow in its deliberation.  In a democracy, this election would be a done deal; even though there seems to be obvious evidences that it was stolen from a number of candidates.  But in a Republic, we take the safer route of taking the time to investigate and consider the evidence more carefully to make certain that our elections are done with integrity.  And if you were accused of a murder you didn’t commit, you’d be glad the courts took this time to investigate!

Rebellion in Our Republic 2

So what this is really about is making our elections to be events of integrity.  Voting is the very heart of the operation of a Republic.  If the voting, gathering of the votes, and the counting of the votes is not done honestly, we might as well accept a dictator as our ruler and be done with it; for that is always the result of dishonesty in elections.  The Bible says,

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)

Thus, the need for patient endurance in this time of investigation by the courts into this past election.  God has given us this so we will learn to pray persistently and fervently until this process is completed.  To want to “bail out” now exposes our immaturity in knowing Christ—and, I remind you—would be rebelling against God’s ways:  For it is He Who gave to the Jews a Republic as their form of government (See Deuteronomy 1:13-14).  That’s where our Founders got it—from the Bible.  Let’s not be found guilty of rebelling against God in this, the greatest crisis our nation has ever faced!

Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you—and for your children!  And you won’t like what that brings to you.  I’m Don Pinson; this has been Think About It.
