Keep Praying Over This Election- 1We have just witnessed perhaps the hardest fought campaign in the history of Presidential elections.  And, at the time of this writing, the winner has still not been legally declared.  So what do we, who are committed to Jesus Christ, do now?  Number one, we continue to pray:  More on that in a moment.  Secondly, we learn the hard lesson—and admit it—that we have to change the way we are educating our children.  The fact that socialists (which means, God-hating) people can come so close to taking over our government should drive us all to our knees, crying out to God to show us why we’ve let liberty come so close to extinction—to show us why our children are turning to socialism!

The answer to the second question is quite simple.  When you look at the map of the nation and see which counties voted for more conservative candidates and which counties voted for socialist candidates, you find that, generally speaking, the densely populated areas voted for socialists, while the less densely populated areas voted for conservatives.  Why do the densely populated areas vote for socialists?  It is because these cities are where the universities are located.  It is the universities that are the hotbed of socialism!  And as long as we are going to send our children to those universities and support them with our tuition payments and our endowments, they are going to continue to destroy the minds of our children.  It is that simple.  Think about it!  Because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you—and for your children!  And you won’t like what that brings to you.

But more importantly, what can we do right now?  We can pray.  The socialist mock our praying.  But God Almighty loves it when we pray.  He says,

“Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

I’ve been praying a number of verses—that is, I make the words of the verse the words of my prayer—since the 2016 election.  You may want to use some of these as the words of your praying.  For example, Psalm 79:9-10, which says,

“Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Thy Name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for Thy Name’s sake.  Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? Let Him be known among the heathen in our sight by…[avenging]…the blood of Thy servants which is shed.”

I also pray Psalm 80:17 for President Trump.  I pray:

“Let Thy hand be upon the man of Thy right hand, upon the son of man whom Thou madest strong for Thyself.”

I also pray for abortion to be stopped by praying Psalms 79:11,

“…according to the greatness of Thy power preserve Thou those that are appointed to die…”

Keep Praying Over This Election- 2And the Lord revealed to me what He is doing with this great divide in thinking that now engulfs our nation; so now I pray according to His purpose by praying Proverbs 2:21-22:

“For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the [mature] shall remain in it.  But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.”

When we pray the Word of God we can be certain, according to 1st John 5:14-15, that God will hear and answer our prayer, because we are praying according to His will.

Will you get serious about daily praying the Scripture for our nation?  You’ll be glad for the results if you do—and very, very, sorry for the results if you don’t!

Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you—and for your children!  And you won’t like what that brings to you.  I’m Don Pinson; this has been Think About It.
